The Roller Coster Ride

So what hits your mind when you read the title ?

angpows?
cookies?
good food?
gambling?
new clothing?
family gathering?

Well, it has been a tradition for my family for the past 20 years of making love letters ( Kuih Kapit).

Unfortunately, we are still not featured in The Star!!!

The new generation has taken over the task of hand making the love letters, unlike those publish are often the aunties and grandmas.

Making love letters are not for commercial purposes but it is mainly to tighten the bond among the family members.

i’m sure all of you are served with this love letters to places you visit during Chinese New Year.

BUT How many of us actually do have the experience and witness the whole process despite our busy schedule?

As seen, the green pot contain the batter which is made of sugar, flour, water, santan and eggs.
a plate and a butter knife is prepared to scrap off the burn ones.

in order to be fast, one person is in charge of 9 sticks so we could come out with more tins of Kuih kapit.

The little one, yuwen is only 11 this year is much into the making of love letter and even sayid:” why dont we just sell next year?”

if you don’t know, you must be fast in doing the love letters. As it turn golden brown and hot, you have to prick the batter up and fold it immediately before it turns hard.

Can you see how burning it is through my facial expression?

Folded love letters have to be put aside until it is not more hot to fill them in the ‘jacob’ tin. this is to prevent it from turning soft.

Oh ya, you need ample space in making love letters
The more helpers the merrier we are.
Try imagining yourself sitting on the stool for the whole day.

i’m having a backache now with sorethroat!

Working in a group, is always something happy to me!
As I would not need to face it all by myself, have friends to discuss with you.
Unfortunately, i’m having a HUGE problem with a girl in my group now.

There are five of us, SH, ST, KH, PS and myself.

SH and KH are basically the good helpers.
ST shows interests, does find out more information from us.
PS is TOTAL LOST! She did not show interest what more when during discussion, she’s not listening and talking to her friends.

Than, i assign them task.
gave her the most simple task to finish n decided to added on due to her light workload as compare to others.

She gave me the answer that, since we will be using Sh’s idea or my idea, how bout both of us to complete it?

SHOCKING SENTENCE FOR ME!!!!!

In future, i’ll be smart than when working in group.
I shall not lead the group,
I shall not give my idea,
therefore i dont need to do any work.

Cycle Carriage service has not been up to standard lately,
not compatible with their prestigious, luxury car that you are paying for.

Dad trade his car and got himself a new one,
he left his personal document in the old car and contacted the salesman
The salesman did not do his part but instead gave the second hand car dealer number to my dad was asked to contact himself.

Later…

Dad sent his car for service,
when we collected the car,
the petrol tank burst!

i had no idea what service they did to the car.

So call up the sales man again,
to make an appointment but have to wait for two weeks as they are fully booked.

They did not change the tank but just cover and patch things up.

Once again, the battery suddenly collapsed.

The car is not that old actually, is just One Year Old!

After sending my dad to collect his car at the third time, i followed him in the office and guess what i’d found on the customer service desk?

It’s time to settle down after a long holiday and get back to uni life!

Okay, i think im getting afraid of going back to uni.
Just like how you feel when it’s first day of school.
Not knowing anyone around you, who is gonna be your best friend,
who is sitting next to you…

Basically, i have this feeling now.
In taylors, i just gotta make new friends once but not now.
Every semester i need to make new friends.

This make me feel so sick of getting back to uni.
I don’t have a comfort zone in Metropolitan College.

Sounds so Awful.
Sounds so Terrible.

Hope that the situation gets better as time passes.
