The Roller Coster Ride
The fun, excitement, and thrills of hers
July 30, 2008

It was a rather dreary morning for me as I do not enjoy and know much anything about the history. As planned, we headed to the Palace Museum. Yes, it is really impressive looking at those olden days’ utensils. Unfortunately, I do not know how to appreciate them. While waiting, started hanging out at the benches available out there to soothes and relax the discomfort of my feet that have been walking so much. It is the first time for me to sweat this much just like joining an eight days non stop marathon!

In the afternoon, Matthew group and my group decided to go to Dan Shui Village. From the Museum, we head off on our own by taking a cab down to the nearest MRT station and take a train down to the village. Dan Shui village port has scenic view. We have the opportunity to experience the fabulous sunset! A perfect spot for couples to spend their romantic evening! We went back to the town for dinner. The Chinese restaurant interior as decorated with really weird creatures around the shop. You see snakes, ……. The different thing about restaurant in Taiwan is that they do not take an order for your drinks. It is a self service whereby you are required to take your own drink from the refrigerator as well as paper cups on your own. The local delicacies that we got from Dan Shui Village were metal egg- direct translation from Mandarin. It is black in colour and the size of a quail egg that comes in different flavour that could be eaten with rice or just like that!

Another problem that I encounter was I often confuse myself when it comes to payment. For example, while bargaining for price, instead of asking for 100 Yuen which is equivalent to RM10. I ended up asking for 10 Yuen due to the currency exchange! Also, when I paid 100 Yuen for an item that cost me 70 Yuen, the cashier return me 30 Yuen in coins. I was wondering why she just returned to me 30 sen instead!

Sanitary pad?!?!
Nah!! Its Sanitary CANDY FLOSS!!!

It was a gloomy Monday morning for me, another friend of mine left this morning. Though when he was around, we did not meet up often, but we always find time to catch up with each other. Also, we were always being very supportive to each other.

ALL THE BEST TO YOU!

We Shall meet in one year time. In a whole new place, a whole new you and I!

Day two morning was also back to class, was better as compare to day one, as it was rather dry! The pic is I with other 2 Taiwanese Student. They lead told us where is a must go places. Exchange contact numbers.
You can actually easily hook and chat with them!
I personally think the guy in the middle is cute.
Did you realize that since the earlier i didnt state anyone name?
Haha!
Guess what, i can barely remember their name.

The Guy that i remembered his name is the guy in blue shirt is Camel.

Introducing some of their local delicacies:

Clockwise direction: Taiwanese Octopus Sausages, oyster mee sua, eel, taiwanese sausages ( It is MUCH bigger than the one you saw at your neighbourhood night market) and lastly, orh jien ( notice the sauce, i have no idea what is that, but it taste superb along with the oyster with egg!)

beef noodles is tantalizing! Even the meat is also tender!:)
On the bottom left, is how food that are packed. It is always in paper box.
and of course, the milk tea!

They offer 2 sizes of of the bubble, the one we get from Malaysia is the big one.
One thing for sure, the small 1 taste much better than the Big one.
Oh ya, the bubble milk tea bought from Malaysia have pretty little bubbles in it.
The one u get from Taiwan, after finishing the drink, the bubble have so much more left!
It is actually too much until you throw them away:(

Next, we headed over to FRANZ where they produce porcelain.
Look at those exquisite pieces, How i wish i could afford them :)
We were shown those pieces that are not even found in the market yet!
Such a perfect gift for mum’s day!

Once broken, considered sold!

What i would say that, Taiwanese don’t speak fluent English, even those who are working.
At times, They even make a fool of themselves without realizing.
Those who went for the Taiwan trip would definately know what i mention here.

See how they work, not easy okay.
Unfortunately, this time around, we do not have the chance to experience our own:( like the ceramic!

Here i have 2 great news about myself to share: (a) Year 2008 Sem 1 results

The minute i saw, I felt such a big relieve and it really reflect on the effort that I put in.
Yes, It motivate me to work further for my upcoming sem!

(b) Im Loving it! I’m Loving into my Taiwan Trip!

Thou, it was a rather short trip- Only 8 days. To be exact exlcuding the arrival and departure day it is only 6 in exact! Everything started where you don’t know each other. Yes i sign up this subject not knowing my room mates, and anyone else except for Choong Yow.

A brief about the whole trip: We arrive on the 30th of June 9 pm. Nothing much can be done, so we hunt for supper around our hotel. Though it look really awful, or just like another cup of milk tea or coffee. Sorry you’re wrong than!
a very special drink i would like to share with you, a mixture of Glutinous rice with peanut is being grained together.’

Day 1 -Lecture in Fu Jen Catholic University

The compound of the college is huge! Real Huge! As to compare to Metropolitan College, I think they are bigger than Metropolitan 10 times.
They even have roundabout in the school compound
So imagine that on your own!

As usual, boring lectures and sleeping students in class.
What else?
Yupe, portraying a very bad image of Malaysian Student.

I felt rather sorry, don’t worry I am not once of those lazy pigss.
Have lunch in the uni, take a look at one of their classrooms’ ceiling
Very unique indeed. I believe it does inspire the student to study better than our plain classroom!

From left: Myself, Professor Juliana French from Metropolitan College and, Fu Jen Uni Student

I would definitely say, Taiwanese are really friendly.
Read along and find out!

This are the petrol station that you find around in Taiwan. I don’t see Shell, nor Esso.

On that very afternoon, we visited the Ying-Ge Ceramic.
One of the places that I would definately rate fun because you are not only brought around to see the ceramics made but of course, to experience yourself making your own one!

Guess what, the ceramic is with me now!
I practically brought the whole thing back.
yupe, i know its not that pretty after all, but i wanna get it burn so that i could keep it.
I’m really proud about my own art work!:)

Unfortunately, before i could even carry it back. The castle outer layer prick off!
i didn’t glue them properly!!!:(

I just love the experience. Watching how Danny without any craftwork skills really make me laugh crazily!
It was because of that brought us together and get to know each other too!

Scrolling down the street, I realize that 7-eleven is at every corner of the street how convenience is that!
Their 7-Eleven is way different that ours.

Offering so many different types of drink, the papaya milk is one of my favorite drink!
But their pricing is way higher than ours.
The papaya milk each cost RM3.50!!!

Dinner was great, people sitting at my table practically didnt know how to cook.
So we keep observe the table next to us,
What they put, we put too! when they take out we take out ours too!
hahaha, damn silly!

We spent our night at Xi Men Ding, one of the favourite tourist spot.
It is crowded although it is a tuesday night.
Of course, it is shopping spree time!

The left pic, some passers by actually!
I know after telling you, i am goona sound damn ’sua ku’ damn kampong
we asked him to snap a pic with us!
not only the two girls ( us), a big group of us.
Look at his hair! Damn funky wei.
Doubt u couldn’t find him anywhere in Malaysia!

The right pic, a group picture of us Blocking the street of Xi Men Ding!
