It was a rather dreary morning for me as I do not enjoy and know much anything about the history. As planned, we headed to the Palace Museum. Yes, it is really impressive looking at those olden days’ utensils. Unfortunately, I do not know how to appreciate them. While waiting, started hanging out at the benches available out there to soothes and relax the discomfort of my feet that have been walking so much. It is the first time for me to sweat this much just like joining an eight days non stop marathon!
In the afternoon, Matthew group and my group decided to go to Dan Shui Village. From the Museum, we head off on our own by taking a cab down to the nearest MRT station and take a train down to the village. Dan Shui village port has scenic view. We have the opportunity to experience the fabulous sunset! A perfect spot for couples to spend their romantic evening! We went back to the town for dinner. The Chinese restaurant interior as decorated with really weird creatures around the shop. You see snakes, ……. The different thing about restaurant in Taiwan is that they do not take an order for your drinks. It is a self service whereby you are required to take your own drink from the refrigerator as well as paper cups on your own. The local delicacies that we got from Dan Shui Village were metal egg- direct translation from Mandarin. It is black in colour and the size of a quail egg that comes in different flavour that could be eaten with rice or just like that!

Another problem that I encounter was I often confuse myself when it comes to payment. For example, while bargaining for price, instead of asking for 100 Yuen which is equivalent to RM10. I ended up asking for 10 Yuen due to the currency exchange! Also, when I paid 100 Yuen for an item that cost me 70 Yuen, the cashier return me 30 Yuen in coins. I was wondering why she just returned to me 30 sen instead!
